What needs to be done further?

Khroo Onn singled out teacher training as the main area in which constant improvement is needed.

“I urge the teachers to develop the habit of wise reflection (yoniso manasikara) more fully. By training in the ability to intelligently investigate issues using the tools given us by Buddhism they can create a refuge for themselves, and so become more self-reliant and more able to help others.

I believe that teachers should constantly train their mind through meditation practice to enable them to generate self-encouragement and able to complete their daily tasks, feeling happy and satisfied with what they do. This training in order to strengthen and increasing the resiliency of the mind helps tremendously to cope with any untoward situation. It also fosters self-discipline. Teachers (and all of us for that matter) must train to acquire the ability to withstand the strong forces of mental defilements (kilesa)
